*********To be viewed full-sized ***********This male peacock was trying to pimp it up with the ladies by showing off his trophy feathers.
I don't usually do work of this nature, but I thought I'd mix things up some. Shot taken earlier today using my backup camera, Sony F707. The Canon 10d is currently being repaired, so looks like I'll be using the F707 for the next few weeks.

Thanks man. I think that I prefer people because I feel it's easier to capture emotions through people than through animals... but I'll take your advice and try out more animal shots sometime!

It was the DD about copyright infringements that led me here, but I took your advice/request and have been poking around your gallery - and I think this one is a great departure from your usual style, portraiture.
Just a great shot of such a visually interesting animal - i mean, i've taken pictures of peacocks, they're total crap compared to this 
the framing is great, brilliant colors - you know, it occurs to me that you've sort of applied your portrait style to this peacock

That is absolutely gorgeous! In fact, your whole gallery is quite amazing. You are a very talented photographer. And you were right about the DD, it really isn't a fair representation of what you've got to offer. Still, it was an excellent shot with a great message.
Anyhew, nice work, hope your number 1 camera is back in order soon. Although it seems you can still put up the great shots with number 2. It's more the photographer than the camera....

A) My 7 yr old brother was at the peacock farm and he was staring at the peacock's butt. Later he told me that dung beetles were crawling out of it. I didn't know whether to believe him or vomit right there on the spot.

a) it was far too early in the mornng to read that story...
b) I fully understand. haaaaaaa more than you know... (check your dA notes, emotional breakdown occured less than 12 hrs ago.) But it is my friend/wifely duty to "stand up for my man," lol no matter how many comic book characters he feels he needs to reference for me to understand. I'll be your "lois lane" and your "mary jane"... (mj? I really hope im thinking of the right comic ahhah). Anyways, point being... be yourself. curse all you want, be as dumb as youd like, be as seemingly uncharismatic as you can... but itll pass, and ill always remember you as the epitome of larger than life "asian perfection." I have a different kind of high expectations where mistakes are far more than welcome. You should know that by now...

PS in case that sounded a tad too... something. ("no pressure" kind of thing) let me just stress to always be yourself, no matter the situation and never concern yourself 'charm' or anything of the sort. especially around me. I think highly of you, theres no doubt about that... but that simple reverence wont just disappear because you decided to take off your superman cape for a coffee break. We're in agreement that you cant always be superman, but we can agree to disagree that superman is just a nickname where im concerned.

As far as me, things are going great! I've been so relaxed these last few days it's amazing I've even had some time to sit down and read The Stand again. you know, out of all the books I have, I've never completed that one cove to cover. I've made it my personal goal right now. hahaha. I forgot how great of a book it is. drags me right into it. lol.
