Description
In tribute to Brian Jacques, author of "the Tales of Redwall" series - recently passed away this year.An addition to the Great Hall Tapestry, in celebration of the life of a great man. The Recorder of Redwall now holds a place of honour beside Martin the Warrior, the very Spirit of Redwall.
Martin the Warrior is Copyright © Brian Jacques.
(Incidentally, Martin did turn out larger in the image than I intended - but I decided to leave it this way. It's an artist's impression on a tapestry, so I guess it need not be to scale.
Also, the canvas texture is a Photoshop effect - the rest is my own work though)

Now this is a brilliant way to immortalize Brian Jaques. On a medieval tapestry with Martin the Warrior. I'm suddenly reminded of Geoffery Chaucer for some reason.
The style is brilliant here. I also noticed that Martin's sword looks a bit like Sting.
Awesome job mate, For Redwall!

Thanks very much, Luke!
Heh, yeah... since Lord of the Rings, I started imagining the Sword of Martin with a more elegant Elvish design!

Thanks, Drew! I certainly hope so.
Yeah, the canvas texture is one of the only things that I did not do - that's Photoshop effects.

Your Martin is cute, but your Brian is a tiny bit creepy... Its still a great tribute, nonetheless.

Well, the canvas texture was actually courtesy of Adobe Photoshop, but the rest is my own work.
