You can also do this using a separate multiply layer, so you can keep the shading hue consistent. uwu

Honestly Cell Shading is so simple it really doesn't need too much explanation XD I hope it does as well C:

It really is! The key to good cell shading really does lie in the colors used. If you gray out the shadows too much (unless of course the base colors are vibrant) it's going to look incredibly flat since it is so simple.
