You know the lighting on the hair, how did you get it so the ends of the light tapered to a point? mine always end up with splodges on the end.
But thank you so much, I think I might try that now, *tentatively picks up tablet*

U switch back to the base color to cover the not-so-pointy ends and make them pointy

Somethings wrong. When I try to color something, like say the skin, I put the layer below the lineart as instructed, but when I start to color it dosen't work and the lineart layer hides the color. I saved it before though, maybe the format is preventing me from doing something? I'm not sure...
Somebody HELP!

maybe you didn't set your lineart layer to multiply?

ummm this is gonna sound retarded of me for asking but, I have a few questions
I have only adobe photoshop elements 2.0 does this have the same tools or do I need to buy CS for my coloring needs(like would it just be better for me in general?for coloring I mean)
also if there is noise around the edge of the lineart how do I remove it? just by what? individually paintbucketing those insulent little areas?
also can you reccomend the best tablet(within a resonable price range) that would be the best for this sort of thing, because I don't know much about what a tablet is other than wanting one for lineart. .....um and do you know any tutorials on how to use a tablet?....sorry for these questions but don't you remember how hard it is to be in a slup of no self improvement...thats where I am right now..and it is oh so deep....love your work

I've never tried elements myself, so I don't really know =/
and for the noise, if it doesn't dissapear playing with the levels of the lineart layer, the eraser is a good choice. But it shouldn't bother you if you're setting your lineart layer to multiply and painting on a layer below it instead of using the paintbucket on your lineart layer.
I've had 3 cheap tablets and the best so far has been my Genius WizardPen that costed me about $60 in my country. If you have enough money, I'd recomend you tu buy a Wacom Graphire tablet, or even an Intuos one if you can afford it... I can't, so I stick with my Genius ...
Humm... tutorials on how to use a tablet... I don't remember any X_x But with patience you whould tame it in a couple of weeks if you practce every day =3 It works by pressing more or less the Pen over the surface of tehe tablet. Most graphic programs have oftions that will give you a thinner line when you're pressing it lightly and a thick line in case you press it harder. Or maybe have a more "transparent" stroke with lighter pressure... you have to play a bit with your program's options ^^

Quick question, do you use a wacom tablet? Cause it's not so easy for me to cel-shade or color in any manner with a mouse. SOmewha tlimited and hard.
Hopefullyit'll hlep me.

I use a genius tablet, I didn't aford to buy a wacom when I bought it 9_9
And it's possible to cellshade with a mouse, I've done it =3 you just need lots of patience
BTW, *zeiva used to GC with only a mouse and her drawings are amazing.
