Description Stream of consciousness painting tutorial made on request for ~UDFlipfloptraeger .. so you can blame her for this existence of this. If it sounds like mad ramblings half the time, it probably is. I probably shouldn't have stayed up so late writing this. If you can even get through reading all that crap o_o by golly, then you are a trooper.

Will probably scrap at some point! Disclaimer: I don't claim to know anything, and all that

(sobs with relief) I was colouring today, and had a lot of grief over the hair. Then I remembered that the person who colours the Flipside comic covers is like GODLY at CGing, and went here...

O I LOVE YOU LIKE BURNING. ;w;

Yep! I did in fact. I graduated about a year ago now- but I love the Sequential Department! We have the bestest professors in all of SCAD~!

Wow, that was fast!! I never expected that you'd write up such a detailed tut! Thanks so much You're too good for this world T.T I'll think of some way to repay your kindness. =3

How long did you take to paint this awesomeness?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Del-Borovic In reply to UDFlipfloptraeger [2008-03-20 17:01:32 +0000 UTC]

Awww~ well you're welcome xD ask and you'll receive! I just worried it was a little -too- detailed ;3 but you did ask to know about my thoughts on my painting process! So I hope this atleast helped you a little!

Hmm.. I think it took about 3 hours? It normally wouldn't have taken so long, if I was drawing normally, but I was screencapping + writing up my descriptions as I went along :3

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

UDFlipfloptraeger In reply to Del-Borovic [2008-03-22 12:43:24 +0000 UTC]

It's just dandy, trust me But damn, you're such a fast painter T.T I take days to just finish a little painting. Well, I guess it'll get better now that I'm armed with your tutorial

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Del-Borovic In reply to UDFlipfloptraeger [2008-03-22 18:18:45 +0000 UTC]

Aww, thank you xD hahaha, but I guess.. I have a hard time finishing stuff, or doing tons of detailing? So I tend to go for quantity over quality.. I figure, if I just keep doing fast pictures I'll still be getting better, but I'll be doing it faster? It's probably the same in the long run, as far as levelling up goes, but it's just the way I do it. But hey! I think you can do great ^_^ I'm excited to see what you'll do in the future! And hey if you ever wanna paintchat or opencanvas or do some doodling let me know

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

UDFlipfloptraeger In reply to Del-Borovic [2008-03-24 14:03:05 +0000 UTC]

No prob^^ I guess you have a point there ... Excited? That's nice to hear, coming from you Btw, many thanks for the watch! I'd love to do some pchating or whatevs in the near future, especially since I've never tackled paintchat! But I've got two term papers to finish, so ... I'll note you about the doodling if that's ok

beethy [2008-03-20 08:33:14 +0000 UTC]

quick question.. does photoshop have pressure sensitivity which can either be applied to opacity and or thickness?

👍: 0 ⏩: 2

Del-Borovic In reply to beethy [2008-03-20 16:59:23 +0000 UTC]

yes!! both. it has both- you can do one or the other. Like, in the drop down listing, those first set of brushes are sensitive to pressure for thickness, but not opacity. I usually like ones that are doing both :3

beethy In reply to Del-Borovic [2008-03-20 22:06:30 +0000 UTC]

Del-Borovic In reply to beethy [2008-03-20 23:27:45 +0000 UTC]

Yeah yeah photoshop can rock it! and you can make your custom brushes to respond however you like. I wanna see some stuff from you now~!

Adrian-MalSeraph In reply to beethy [2008-03-20 15:21:54 +0000 UTC]

It does respond to pressure sensitivity that is found on most tablet software.

At least mine does.
