Description
Ported to OBJ by me a few years back from the wonderful SketchUp recreation by cyberia23. Preview picture posed in XNALara XPS. While I am not making my own OBJ port available for public download anymore, you can still get cyberia23's original Sketchup model from his account at Google's 3D Warehouse the last time I checked (today). If your preferred 3D software doesn't support importing SKP format models, then download as Collada DAE (a universal 3D model format) and then either import as that if your software supports it or use the free ModelConverterX utility available elsewhere. Here's a direct link for the Space Princess SketchUp model:

The Space Princess is featured in the fourth season episode "Gold." I'll let you look up the details on that for those of you who aren't Blake's 7 fans. It's one of the most widely regarded spacecraft created for the series in terms of its looks (among the show's best), and I like what cyberia23 had to say about it in his writeup for his 3D recreation: "[T]his ship looks like something you'd see among the refuge fleet in Battlestar Galactica." Considering how good the TOS models were for the Rag-Tag Fleet (created by Apogee Inc.) I'd say that's quite a complement for something that was made for a low-budget BBC-TV series back in the day. It's good enough that you might want to repurpose (and even retexture or mod) cyberia23's Space Princess recreation for you own various sci-fi projects ... so long as you give him credit as its creator and Blake's 7 for the original, of course. (wink)
BTW not only has the actual filming model of the Space Princess survived the passing of years but it underwent a restoration not too long ago that you can also look up for yourself.
