Description This is Marsa, as you may have guessed.
I didn't expect I'd end up with markings quite like this. All I thought was "I want to make someone with blue hair and a red/orange body". Marsa existed as a person (or the vague idea of one, needed to fill the role) but had no design, once I had this drawing finished, I thought it fit her quite well....

Marsa shares the rather involved duty of taking 'census' in her city, which more or less involves keeping the copious amounts of monsters in check. She is not known to have a particularly compassionate nature, aside for an unusual interest in a particular species of beast....

Since I coloured this with markers, trying to prevent the colours from overlapping and bleeding was a bit difficult.

I've been drawing all my life, but I've really been working on improving and paying attention to things like flow and anatomy for... about four or so years now, I think. c:

Fantastic drawing and awesome colour combination! I love how the reds and oranges complement each other, and how the blue stands out against them. The striking colours present on such a (relatively) simple design work great, and the shapes of the markings really draw my eyes towards the details. Marsa certainly looks like a very exotic creature. Oh, and she has an insane grin. Got to love insane grins. BD

I didn't expect I'd get so into designing the markings, but it was fun... and I think I'll enjoy drawing them again.
She actually fits quite well as a character I wanted to use in Cyra/Soap etc.'s universe.
I looked for an 'insane grin' stamp... and can't find one. 8c Someone needs to remedy that!
