I think you need Adobe Photoshop CS2+ to do the tutorial. Elements is very limited in what you can really do....:/ Sorry..

Lol, actually i got it to work myself
and you can do pretty much everything in this tutorial with elements... its just that the rgb light coloring layer thing is a bit more complicated, but other than that, everything is pretty straight forward...

Hi! No worries! Don't worry if your new to this kind of stuff. I mean we all start off somewhere and it's best to ask questions as that's how you will learn. I love new artists and I believe you should have a warm welcome! Anyways, open Photoshop and then double click on the brush file and then go to the Photoshop program and click on Brushes tool (or press B on the keyboard), then open the Brush Preset picker (basically the icon on the top that shows what kind of brush preset you have selected) and you should find the brushes there.

Ok, I tried that and it wouldn't accept the file because it wasn't in ABR file so I scavenged the internet to find a file changer and managed to change the file but when I did photoshop said the ABR file was not compatible with the version i had...
Crazy I know but I spent 2 hours trying to figure this stuff out

Hmmm...the brush file is already an actual .abr file directly created from Adobe Photoshop CS5. What version of Photoshop are you running? That might be your problem..

Your confusing me. You downloaded the .png version of the brushes? You should of said so earlier....All you do is insert the image into Photoshop (eg. drag it into photoshop). I was talking about the brush sets, they are in .abr brush format.

Tho it still works with the images. You just get much more colour out of it since it's not in grayscale form that brushes are.
