It's February in Sasserine. It's still early in the morning and everyone is outdoors, enjoying the beauty of the tropical morning before the temperature rises too much. Kyalani has taken her quarters in the Vanderboren's manor to help Lavinia decypher her mother's diary wrtten in Sylvan, and also to be in a quieter surroundings to better study her magic. Liam has taken habit the come to the manor every morning to give a fencing lesson to Lavinia, at her request.

That seems to be a pretty intense kind of training concept. I guess it will pay out quickly.

It seems Lavinia is a bit attracted by the enigmatic Liam for his mixed Baklunish/Oeridian origins as well as for his home country,Highfolk, far up North, but she's rather businesslike when it's time to her fencing lessons.
As for Kyalani, as you may have discovered in jmb200960 's work, she's a composed girl always eager to learn something new and very still very curious about humans behavior.

Très bonne image. Encore une fois les poses sont très bonnes et j'aime la manière dont Laviana regarde Liam. On a une bonne idée de ce qu'il se passe dans sa tête.
J'aime aussi l'environnement tropical, ça réchauffe rien que de le regarder.

Would that golden ring her wrist passes through make it difficult to extend her sword properly or is that not part of the sword?

It is not a golden ring but a part of the rapier named "Skeleton Guard" as you can see on this picture:

It serves to fully protect the wrist as well as the hand from injuries.
