the newer versions of photoshop doesnt have imageready! You can get an animation bar in photoshop by pressing "window" in the top bar and then "animation"

Fantastic tutorial! With help from this (and some severe experimentation with The GIMP) I've managed to create my own! *dances* I think I found an art medium I can do. ^_^

Although... when I put it at use like on MSN... it looks weird... like it resizes it or something...

I have and older version of Photoshop, but I didn't install Imageready with it and now can't find the cd
So I can't do the animated emoticons, but do you know how I can save static emoticons in photoshop so that they'll have a transparent background when I use them in MSN?

I use a freeware program called AZpaintpro instead of ImageReady because I have photoshop CS3 and they discontinued ImageReady after CS2. It works just the same.

How do you make the lines so sharp? My lines are blury, and even on the thinist brush, its thick from the bluryness.

use the pencil tool not the brush tool

I am assuming one can do this with a little extra effort in Paint. Good tutorial though, gives me the general idea of what's going on.
