Oct. 17, 2011 Prompt: NoiseYay! So, I caught up, and was actually able to upload this on the appropriate day. Two complete drawings in one day... that's a pretty major accomplishment for me. I hope everyone enjoys it!
Prompt Interpretation:
In honor of the recent remake of the '80s musical film "Footloose," I made this piece based on one of the new posters. Liz makes a great Ariel, in my opinion, though Kid might not make the best Ren... I think Kid would probably be more like Willard: rather akward about dancing initially, particularly with the Shinigami growth spurt I gave him, but ultimately a really smooth dancer. (Obviously, Kid and Liz are both older in this image - early twenties, perhaps.)
Between all of the foot stomping and loud dance music, I'm sure they'd be making a lot of "noise."
(Also, I want Liz's red boots.)
I listened to "Footloose" and the new version of "Holding Out For A Hero" on a loop the whole time I was working on this.

Haha, he does look perfectly uncertain while Liz is perfectly confident.
I'm so amused to think of Kid coming straight out of the Book of Eibon to participate in a dance musical.

Yeah, I officially love Kid in Converse shoes now. Everyone else seems to as well! ^_^ They do seem to fit him. (Need more pics of this.)
...And now I really want to see this musical. It would have the best choreography.

Ha ha... Kid's outfit is a mess, but it's rather adorable, I think. The torn-sleeve shirt comes straight out of the Book-of-Eibon Arc, but the rest... well, I like it when Kid lets his suspenders hang down like that and I like Converse shoes, so... ^_^
This one actually turned out pretty good. I may go back and clean it up a bit sometime.

Thanks! Black Converse shoes are awesome. I have a pair myself, but they obviously aren't as cool as Kid's are now. ^_^ Yeah, the skulls were a last-minute touch - I'm glad I thought of them!

Footloose was an amazing movie i saw the new one aslo this week but i liked the old one better

"Footloose" is a great movie... I loved the old version, but I have to say, I really did like the "2011" spin they put on the new one. Though I thought they could have made the remake even more different from the original... most of the movie was scene-for-scene, word-for-word, like the first one, which was actually kind of weird to watch. But, yeah, anything with fun music and dancing like that is awesome.
