Description
WARNING: Big file! Download for full size.
My first Devart tutorial is HERE!
During my latest manip, I decided to pause for a while and create a tutorial, for placing hooves into water, realistically.
This technique works best on horses who are not moving through the water. For horses moving through the water, this technique can still be used, but splashed may be needed as well. Don't fret - I'll do a tut for that as well soon!
Used PS CS4 Extended to make this one. Big file, at around 3000px height or somethin crazy like that...
1. Feel free to use wherever you'd like.
2. No credit needed, although I'd love to see what you've created with it, so feel free to comment with a link to your work!
3. Have fun with it!

do i have to be a premium member to make hooves in the water? because i cant figure out how to do that to a picture

erraticstudios In reply to taylorswift226 [2010-07-22 06:00:23 +0000 UTC]
the tutorial pretty much explains how to do it, it's quite simple, one of the easiest techniques for hooves in water i know of. it should work with a mouse as well, a graphics tablet isn't necessary.

well how do i get there? how do i get to the place where i can do the hooves in the water.

you should be able to use the technique in any graphics program. i personally use photoshop, but this tutorial should work fine for any program that can do graphics/photomanips.

Now for the lines; do you draw them circular or something else?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
erraticstudios In reply to HorsesRule8 [2010-07-03 00:24:46 +0000 UTC]
well, i drew them as straight-ish lines going horizontally, but i suppose circles would work as well. thanks

Hi:
Do you think this would work for gimp?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
erraticstudios In reply to HorsesRule8 [2010-06-02 22:01:26 +0000 UTC]
Yes, it probably would - I've never really used Gimp, but as long as there's a tool to draw lines, you should be fine.
