I must admit I am very happy with this one (minus the forelock and eye!). It all sort of just flowed from start to finish.

Amazing work. Might I ask how you paint the manes so well? I'm horrid at it. I use photoshop and a presure-sensitive tablet, but I just can't ever seem to get the lines right.

It's all about practice, really. The more manes and tails you paint, the better you get at it. If you look at some of my earlier works you'll see that I wasn't too good to start out with but gradually got better and better.
Getting the lines right is tricky. Make sure you use a light hand with the tablet pen - don't draw like you would with a crayon - and keep the hair flowing nicely by avoiding straight strokes.
