how do you get the horse to look soft, or smooth, like its HARD to tell if its a cutout or not? and how do you get the white outline on the horses legs? hehe eh beep it, i have to ask what all do you do to the horses bodys? lol hummmh make a tutorial for $?

haha, well, there's a few things I do that make the horse look like he's smooth (and not a cutout):
~ I smudge the horse lightly, with a small-ish smudge brush on 3% strength.
~ I then re-paint some of the horse - to do this, i take the Eyedropper and pluck a color or two out of his coat and create a new layer. I then take those colors and paint lightly over him with a large brush on 0% hardness and 10% opacity - once that's done, the layer is then Clipped (by holding the Alt key down and clicking between the Paint layer and Horse layer) to the horse to make sure the paint only goes on him, not 'spilling over' on the background.
~ Some of the lighting effects help too - for example, in this one, there's quite a strong light coming from the trees, so his back and chest are quite light. I used the Dodge tool for this, and it helps as well to give the horse some depth and show he's not a cutout.
As for the outline, thats just painted with a hard, round 2px brush set to white.
