Ghosts of the Future, Issue 15 page 22.This scene went through a few rewrites, usually changing the method of escape-- I think Shadow got them out once, then Metal's chest-laser was turned into an impromptu blaster, and here we are now. I like this version because it's the least dignified for Shadow. Air-lift out of Sadsville.
Okida : What about Sonic! You know you have so much to life for being the straight man to his lunacy! It is your destiny! Now fly with me, Darth Maul!

She sure seemed agressive with her robot, was hard to tell with what she was doing.
Also hard to tell how they are hanging on to each other on lat panel, is she holding shadow by a strand of hair, and metal is holding her by head lock as he rockets up?

Sicily's got Shadow under the arms (big hands+tiny arms=can't see what's going on there), and yeah Metal has his one remaining arm around Sicily's neck/shoulder. Not the best setup, all things considered.

The robot IS Sonic... or at least i think it is. Or rather, a copy of Sonic. I think Nicole was right in that Ghost Sonic is nothing more than a copy of the original Sonic somehow imprinted on the fabric of the universe, a hero the world needed but couldn't get. So it forged a copy.
It would certainly explain why some of Sonic's memory is apparently blank. the copies are imperfect. Really freakin' close, but not exact. And it would also explain why there are two Sonic's running around. One was inserted into Metal Sonic, and then Silver found the current ghost version in one of the Chaos Emeralds

PLEASE tell me people won't start fantasizing Sonadow after looking at this-that ship will taint this perfectly good comic-no offense all you Sonadow fans, but I clearly see Shadow and Sonic as companions, just sayin

No worries, in GOTF Sonic and Shadow are not a thing in-story. They're just really, REALLY close-- platonic soulmates. The long answer in-story is a little more complicated, but that's how it is now and that's how they'll stay.
Doesn't help that I like to make jokes about them as a thing. Sorry 'bout that.
