Description
Today's hybrid is largely based on a southern cassowary. The second animal, that inspired this being, is an eastern grey kangaroo. The posture of this new creature gives it a look not dissimilar to that of a dinosaur.

The habitat of cassowaroos mostly consists of open grasslands, but these beings can be seen in the forested areas as well. Cassowaroo diet mostly consists of various fruits, they are also known to eat small mammals, reptiles and invertebrates. The locomotion of these creatures is similar to that of a kangaroo.

Cassowaroos prefer to form small groups, members of which can join or leave at any time. They aren't territorial and conflicts between individuals are rare.

Males are primary caretakers of the youth, a trait of cassowaries preserved in these beings. Cassowaroos don't build nests, instead a newly laid soft-shelled egg is put into the pouch of a male individual, where it stays until altricial chick hatches. Young cassowaroo stays in the parent's pouch until it learns to properly walk on its own.
