Hybrid creatures are an interesting concept, with great variety of animals known, there are so many potential combinations ranging from rather banal to utterly strange. Drawing a lineart for this insectoid raptor was a fun start, but the main part here was the coloring. It was definitely a learning experience, this technique feels harder to understand and implement, but it was definitely worth trying.

Mantoderaptor, a combination of mantis and dromaeosaurid, is a shy and quiet creature, a master of hiding among the shadows of a park at night. These hybrids are about the same size as a deinonychus, but despite being similar to these prehistoric animals in appearance, they are an entirely modern creation, a bizarre scientific experiment gone right. Their personalities would remind you of the modern day cats and many keep these creatures at home as pets. Mantoderaptors can be easily trained to understand various commands, their natural curiosity makes them good learners.
