I found this awesome comic sometime ago called Mouse Guard
I totally fell in love with it, so I drew a pic of the first issue :3 Here is Lieam, one of the main characters, when he is ambushed by the snake, while his partolmates are destroying the snake's nest ^^I've been practicing more with Sai recently :3
This one is completely colored with Sai :3 Just few enchancing details and the background was done with Photoshop ^^

I've wondered it, but I never dwelled too much to it :3 It says that mice and weasels were the only animals to "develop culture", but that's as far as it goes to explaining it. But honestly, I don't really need an explanation further than that :3 I try not to think about it too much

There are other sentient sapient species, and the predators are also sapient as well. They speak a different language. Tools and technology are mainly only used by animals with fingers, or extremities that are capable of gripping things effectively e.g. squirrels, mice, weasels, chipmunks ect.

Well, I've taken influence in many places and Sparky gave me a quick tutorial sometime ago from how he colors his pics, since I've always adored his way to do it :3 I tried that style here, but it proved too difficult for me X3 It seems I just got to strive for such results with my own ways XDD

Sometimes I see people shade things (usually showing how easy it is) then I'll try it myself and I think something like: "Okay! How did they pull this off and make it look so easy?"
Usually it's good to search for different tutorials and then adapt to a style\manner that suits you best! That's the best way to improve. =3
