MY TIP: When shading etc, don't keep just any paper, best to keep A4 printer paper. I learned my lesson few days back. I was sketching and didn't want to go to other room to pick up the printer paper. I used a torn magazine paper.. It ruined my already shaded area. Thank god it was fixable.

wow, that helps a lot for sure, but I'd like to ask something... whenever I scan my traditional piece it'll always turn out messy and not smooth on the computer screen, unlike yours... mine's like...urm, scattering ^^' (for the lack of better word =_=") I've tried to rescan in a higher dpi but that doesn't seem to help a lot...was it only my scanner or...

what's broken stencil?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

fongmingyun In reply to Camilakitty131 [2007-08-26 01:48:30 +0000 UTC]

Stencil is outline. Broken stencil is where you do not outline an edge completely.

I read the entire tutorial beginning to end and it really good!! My #1 issue is doing leather because it normally looks fake as far as I'm concerned. It's the highlights and how they are drawn that messes me up. The next time I do leather I'm going to try your tip out.
