Whoa, this is really good Very great job at shading and the measurements, nothing looks too big or too small, it's like it's straight out of a book! I love the face most of all!

Greetings from ProjectComment !
This piece really caught my eye because of the tonal variation and contrast. For a first attempt, I'd say you were rather successful! I wonder if your pencil was an art one or just a colour pencil? Because although you have nicely achieved contrast between the waistcoat and the other areas, there's a slight flatness on the waistcoat which happens with colour pencils - they don't go deeper than a certain point, if you know what I mean? So yes, the strong points in your piece are definitely form and proportion, as the left (our left) arm is excellently foreshortened! My advice would be to try for more shading in the bottom right areas, because although the light from the top left is subtle and I think you've stopped the pattern to show the darkness, it's not quite as contrasted as it could be. However, overall, the shading works really well! Also look out for that pesky chiaroscuro - under his fingers, the key should have some more shadow to make the object more three dimensional.
In a nutshell: You have an excellent grasp of form and proportion, and you have clearly visualised your goal and kept the overall balance of the piece really well; an area to work on is shading to make your wonderful form stand out dimensionally even more!
Hope this helps!

I am really sorry for my late reply but I did not have time during the week!
Yep, it was just a vcolor pencil, for I did not have any good pencils with different hardness I was really desperate that time
I've drawn this 4 years ago, I can recall the struggle I had with his hands and shadows even now
I'lll definitely go for greater contrast next time
I was really afraid of the fingers, I think that was the worst part
Thank you very much for taking time to comment! Your advices are highly appreciated!

Í´m from
This Goblin is incredible, although it reminds more of Green Goblin xD
The drawn, the strokes, the appearance itself, the fidelity with the globlins, the clothing, the contrasts and the shadows, that everything is done in pencil, my God: It also reminds me of the Hobbits D
Excellent job Each day you are improving more and more

I like how thorough you were in defining the wrinkles in his face.
