Description
I started sketching it in my sketchbook and liked where it was going, so I inked it with pigment liners during some random free time I had around campus.If you'd like to take a crack at colouring it, let me know and I'll send you a high-res version.

Very nice work - well inked and very well drawn.
One thing - why is your gnoll carrying miniature weaponry? (I'm looking mainly at the shield).

He's a skirmisher; he can't be burdened down with heavier armament.

Pigment liners are basically thin markers with waterproof ink, like Sakura Microns and Alvin Penstix. I just drew over the pencil lines, erased the pencils, then made corrections on the ink lines.

its too bad these guys and wearwolfs always caotic evil in DnD, the only other option is hound archons i think, and i am not sure they have tails xD

Definitely. I think gnolls are largely misunderstood; they are nomadic and predatory, but not "evil". One of these days I want to tell their story from their own point of view, instead of just the one-dimensional stuff you get from the D&D manuals.

yay,i think some of the DnD stuff is really unrealistic, as people who do evil things for simply the sake of being evil are very rare, and generally not accepted in normal society, but i dunno, i guess they wanted to have the game be more about killing monsters, getting loot, and rescuing the scantily clad elven slave girl, than any sort of moral dellemas and challenges
