Description
Disazo Brown (PBr41) is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy. I would have never been able to get any of those transparent browns down without it.Watercolour, gouache, charcoal, dry pastel on Crescent 310 Cold Press Illustration Board. Original appx. 6" x 8.5".

you really are an expert on light. all of your paintings are awesome, but this one caught my eye immediately. there's such a nice glow to it. in fact, the way you made the light hit the demon's chest makes his pecs look like their bursting right out of the picture! it adds so much volume.

Thank you! This was one of my first painting attempts on illustration board, so there were a few challenges that I had to work through. I'm glad I got the light and shadow right on it.

This came out really well. I like the transition between the background and the wings. It makes it look like he's walking through a low-lying fog.

Awesome. If I had one critique, it would be that the skin looks softer somehow to me. One of the things I liked about the scrap was how "rough" the skin looked, and I think this could use more of that.

I like how the colour fades out at the bottom, it gives the impression that he is rising from mist or smoke. I think if you made the background behind his head quite a bit darker it would really throw him forward. Try experimenting on PHotoshop though to see if you agree- it's looking too nice to risk as it is.

Great colouring, though it might of benefited from a bit of foreground mist so that the wing doesn't seem to fade into the background.

That is one hell of a belt buckle! I love all the muscle definition and that the belly button pops out! Who would have known that demons had belly buttons
