Illustration Assignment. Long story behind this one: the assignment was to come up with an illustration of the word "blue". Now me being my usual self had to find something "awesome" to do; this is an illustration of a blue moon. A "blue moon" is an event where a full moon cycles through twice in one month; it doesn't happen very often, and that's what coined the expression "once in a blue moon".You know what also happens during a full moon, right?
Watercolour, casein, charcoal, coloured pencil on Crescent 310 Cold Press Illustration board. Minimal adjustments made with Adobe Photoshop CS3.

Oh, I like it! It's a change from the warm colours you usually use, and you did a great job
I do think though that a bit more of contrast in the pic could give a more dramatic visual, appropiate to the scene. You know, make the shadows darker and accentuate the lighting
And I don't want to know what this character does with his free time, cause he not only has hairy hands...his whole body is hairy

Aww, man! I love this! Nice composition, with him looking down at his hands like he's just noticed what's happened. "Aww, not again!"
And the color! That's a beautiful blue you've used. What is it?
And the texture of the colored pencil against the watercolor really adds something nice. I wouldn't mind if you thought about pushing that further, in the future.

Ultramarine Blue PB29 + Cobalt Blue PB28 + a wee bit of Potter's Pink (PR233).
It took about three layers to get the colour as dark as I wanted, and I still had to go over a few areas with coloured pencil.

LOL! I didn't even think about the torn clothes. Can you imagine the COST to replace all that? Definite trip to the second hand store for those furry nights.
