(Is this "Anthro" or "Fantasy"? I still find the category system confusing as nobody's business...)A work in progress. It's somewhat of a remake of an old piece I did called "Scion of the Tides". Hopefully I pulled off the worm's-eye view convincingly.
I used a bit of a change in drawing method here. I got a lot of good advice from folks at Baltimore Comic Con last fall about how to go about making my linework stronger, so I tried to implement some of it in this drawing.
I had a lot more to say about this, but I was dumb and hit the "refresh" button when my upload stalled, and I'm too lazy to type everything back in.

Excellent work! Can't wait to see the finished product. And there does indeed seem to be a noticiable change to your lineart; seems to have more varied thicknesses or something - cant wuite put my finger on it. Looks good though
As for category, I think seeing as there are two very valid options, it comes down to your personal preferance.

It depends on whether you'd rather deal with snobby fantasy geeks who chide you for anthro or creepy anthro folks who like your work in all the wrong ways. Its a small percentage of either group but the first one is larger and probably worth more favs just by sheer volume. Personally I prefer to sell out for favs (you know if anybody were buyin').

In the fantasy category, they have an option for animal characters so I assume it just depends.
