Description Here it is! The first part of my comic page tutorial that shows my creative process for Sonic Retold. I promised that I would upload a new part of this tutorial daily until my comic resumes on March 19th. Before I dive into the intricacies of page layouts and whatnot, the important thing to discuss first is THE SETUP. You need to have an intuitive setup if you plan on creating a digital comic quickly. This step may seem a little silly to some who are already used to painting a certain way, but I've been drawing comics since I was a kid and it wasn't until I devised an efficient setup using openCanvas that I was confident enough to tackle a project as large as Sonic Retold. This technique shows the benefits of using keyboard shortcuts in conjunction with a tablet instead of relying on tablet buttons and toolbar icons, which I feel is slower. Give it a try at least. You may find you paint faster this way.
