I always wanted to see this kind of stuff in the comics. They always seemed to kind of gloss over the devastating impact this would have on the victims' loved ones. Fantastic work as always! Can't wait for Monday!

So Lien-Da is trying to make her own Legion warriors. Or is it Eggy come up with something new.
Hopefully this doesn't break Remy. The world is already too full of angst guys seeking vengeance for things that happen. Lien-Da needs to be punished, yes, but far better to see her captured and forced to answer for her crimes than hunted down by a grieving constable.

Pay for it? Oh yes. But I would also derive a great deal of pleasure making sure they got a trial and such, if possible. (Obviously if the shot has to be taken, it gets taken. Locking up the Grandmaster is second to keeping her from hurting someone else in the immediate.) Especially since for Lien-Da in particular, being denied what she wants is the most horrible torture.

Rats. She was definitely too pretty to die an off-screen death like this. Chances are good that Komi probably volunteered herself in place of her students when they came in to grab someone for this experiment. And it also seems like the only way to prevent her death would have been by getting there before they took her. Always felt to me like once it begins, there's no going back.
And am I the only one who sees Remington's ultimate desire becoming nothing but pure revenge?
Also, doesn't it feel really weird and stupid for them to use an experimental and potentially fatal legionization process on a member of their own species -- especially since they're facing extinction as it is? Didn't any of this cross their minds beforehand? There are plenty of other less endangered candidates out there as far I can tell.

I like your thinking! It's indeed possible that Komi-Ko sacrificed herself to save her students from being experimented on. It would make her death appear as more of a martyr than a victim. But will Remington realize this?

Well, this moment certainly appears to play an important part in Remington's life, thus his character development, and since I doubt you would have included it without a good reason, it's likely to shape the course of future events -- small or large. Sort of a Delita (Final Fantasy Tactics) type of tale.
All the same, feels like they should have at least tried it out on someone else first so that they could be reasonably sure of their success rate on an echidna instead of starting from scratch with a very limited supply of victims. This page definitely is giving me a prickling itch that says we'll be seeing this particular type of legionizing again.
And maybe one reason it didn't work is because they didn't sedate her. Are they really complete dummies that they wouldn't know it's a bad idea to have someone screaming and their pulse skyrocketing while they're undergoing intense, body-altering surgery?!

Great work as ever glitcher. The emotions and the mood of the atmosphere REALLY bring out the tone of this scene perfectly.
