I appreciate the comments so far about how I've built suspense in this introduction. It's something I feel is generally lacking in fan comics these days. Even though we're six pages in, we still haven't had a proper reveal of Team Fighters, but their presence is felt by how swiftly the Legionnaires are dealt with. While I'm sure everyone already knows what Team Fighters looks like, this is their first appearance in my comic, and I wanted to handle it with a little bit of flair.
On an aesthetic note, you'll notice that Lien-Da and Lara-Le are different shades of red. In many issues, most echidnas were the exact same red colour. This didn't help to distinguish them, so I opted to use slightly different hues to discern individuals. Second, while most Archie artists draw their braids on every quill, Tracey Yardley draws them on every other quill. I prefer this method because it appears less 'busy', and alternating the braids helps separate the quills. Third, Steven Butler chose to give Lien-Da black braids instead of her typical white ones in her final appearance, which is the look I decided to go with. Finally, I chose to omit the recent frilly hair at the back of Lara-Le's head because it just looks.... weird.

Quite possibly. He does seem to be a better planner than his uncle... or rather a more pragmatic planner. And the empire does run better when he's actively helping. And no doubt he'd have no problem shooting old Eggy on the toilet.

Heh heh. Since you mentioned you like Lien-Da, I have to admit she was once my favourite character in the comics, especially during the Chaos Knuckles and MxYL storylines. Penders wrote her so well, she was more of a grey character and less of an outright villain, primarily seeking a way to achieve the rank of Grandmaster that was denied her. But when she finally achieved her goal, her character development just... stopped. She became little more than Eggman's lackey instead of following her own agenda. I hope I can bring back some of Lien-Da earlier appeal.

I don't know, even under Pender she seemed pretty much a villainous. One with good intentions, I don't doubt she saw her being in charge as the best possible thing for everyone, but a villain nonetheless.
Of course one could say she was solidifying her position once she became Grandmaster, hence why she stayed Eggman's lackey for a bit. It probably was the original plan to just grab the cybernetics then go, but Dimitri and Eggman's bombs threw her for a loop. Better to make sure there were no more surprises before trying to be her own villainess again. I could totally see her pulling something like Croc-bot did once Albion was under her thumb.
Assuming echidna tech is any good that is.

Good idea for Lien-da's hair!
Everytime I read the comics she was in, I noticed either the front two quills were braided, and the rest weren't, or the front two weren't, and the rest were. This makes a good compromise to me

Lara-Le ain't taking no shit it seems. Maybe this is where Knuckles gets his tough attitude from. 
Lien-Da also realizes she's really screwed now.
