Ah ha! Bet you thought Sonic was gonna come to the rescue, eh? Then again, it could be him if he's in disguise and got a tan. And chopped off his ears.
In response to last week's question, I want to give a shout-out to for being the only reader to identify the boy by name: Bimmy Jr. Even I didn't know that! He's one of the schoolchildren who appears at the beginning of Sonic #243.

What would that do, exactly? One page of comics ultlizing nothing related to what they are making will not get him featured in the comic and won't be an ample enough portfolio to be hired

At least let him show them that he could tell a story and show his art work. That was my point in saying that. When you submit something, even your art work, you need to show that you could progress a story. He could just build up his portfolio.

Reminds me a bit of that scene in Batman the Animated Series where Robin is about to be tossed into the bay by a pair of Rupert Thorne's goons.

One of the thugs felt the need to proselytize at Robin about how filthy the bay was due to people just dumping trash in it. The dialogue these two have about "kids should be in bed" just reminds me of his little speech.
