Description
No more sneak attacks from the shadows. This is where the real fighting begins!
Battles are a bit more time-consuming to draw, but I'm not really intimidated by them since drawing digitally gives me a lot of flexibility. I also brought back the embellished "Sonic the Hedgehog" name drop for nostalgia, which is something that was common circa issue #150, but seems to have fallen out of fashion lately. On a minor note, you'll notice the sky start to change colour here. I wanted to convey the passage of time from night to dawn, plus I feel that the orange tinge complements the action well. It's something I picked up after seeing the trailer to the Transformers movie .

Awwww Tails is protecting his puppy... thats so cool!! I like to see another characters in action besides than Sonic... i know than he the main character, but sometimes is just to much of him. Now is more balance

You know, I'm enjoying these so far and think they serve as a good continuation of the old continuity. I'm just worried that, like most Sonic fan comic projects, its eventually gonna lose steam and you're gonna start being delayed for long periods of time due to a busy schedule.

I learned something from comics > bubbles are completely part of the composition process and most of the time we have to adapt our drawings to let them marry perfectly the panels
I think it should be part of the composition, for good example, what I like in Evan.s work is that we clearly see that she knows where the bubbles are supposed to be in her panels, so she let a lot of space that are calculated in the right way, and its really good looking overall/
In your case, we still feel that bubbles are "too much" in the composition, or put at "last", but maybe I m wrong ? =.

Actually, I create a storyboard for my comics so that I know the composition of the panels, characters and speech bubbles prior to drawing the pages. The storyboard for this page shows Sonic's bubble above Tails' head. But since I had to add more detail on the ground, Tails got shifted up and the bubble got shifted left in the end. It's just one of those things you have to roll with.
