Description
Run time: 12:20You may find it faster/smoother to download the file to your desktop and play it in your browser.
Also, be sure to check out my Prints II Windows XP FTP Tutorial to learn how to upload via FTP.
In November, 2006 deviantART Prints II was launched. The most important change is the addition of the Standard Print Account, available now to all deviants free of charge. That's right, every single one of the 3.5+ million members of deviantART now has a free Standard Print Account. This tutorial will show you how you can easily make your work available for free to the entire world in a variety of sizes, finishes, and products.
This tutorial is far from perfect but I'm far from being a professional speaker so it all works out.
Things I missed
• Crop nodes. The nodes on the corners and sides of your preview in the Adjust Image tool will allow you to do a custom crop on your work, rather than just relying on the Scale tool and default crop/matte options. Be sure to play with these settings until you get the look you desire.
• Canvas prints. Using the matte feature will ensure your image is not wrapped around the wooden frame used for canvas prints.
• FTP uploads are now synced with the File Deck.
If you notice anything else I've missed that you feel is significant, please let me know. An updated version is in the works.

When I clicked "Submit Print" it says"You must select at least one product". I feel like an idiot for not knowing what to do, but what do I do TOT.

There are a bunch of categories you can't print from; Fanart, Memes, etc.. Typically, fanart and memes contain copyrighted characters or imagery that we can't legally print.

It's a big flash file and doesn't play properly on some computers. Try right-clicking [link] and saving it to your desktop. You can then open it in your browser and it may play better for you.

Well, you probably already have enough comments on this as it is, but thank you very much. This saves me the time of trying to figure it all out the first time I do it. It also helped me see the advantages of the Premium users better.

You need only submit images for calendars and postcards. They're printed on a template.

What does it mean when it says "Min DPI not met"? It did that to me once after I submitted my print. I made sure the picture showed up in all the little boxes and everything looked correct, then when I hit submit it tells me there's an error and one of the sizes says Min DPI not met...?

hi there i wanted 2 know does deviantart make the products for the artists or does the artist have to make the products themselves?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
godofodd In reply to Amanda-five-2-huh [2007-11-07 21:40:20 +0000 UTC]
deviantART is a full service print provider. You simply need to submit the work, deviantART takes care of the rest.

Thank you. Yes, the site was taken down. I've got a new version of this in the works that will be submitted using deviantFilm and it should load a lot nicer right on-site.

Well, I don't mind your current version of this tutorial. Thanks to you so many people were able to understand all these print submissions thingies ^^
I'm double glad that you did such a useful thing, because English isn't my native language, so I can learn more and more

Thank you ~~~

Since making the tutorial, the system has changed. It will now say "Print Not Enabled: Submit as print" on the left-hand menu when viewing your deviation. You can also always add a print by clicking the deviantART logo menu up by your username on the header bar (this one's shown in the tutorial as well).

I was wondering, does this mean that minors can now sell their work?

No. You still must be 18 or older to sell prints with deviantART.
