Alarms rang through the hull of the carrier as fighter pilots hastily moved to their positions and flight prep had begun. Other carriers had already begun the process of dispatching their fighter squadrons.

After the destruction of Fort Helmen: the Terran Federation in a unanimous vote formally declared war on the Azen Empire, deploying fleets 1-3 to the Dark marches to get tactical superiority on the region and destroy the Azen Empire's fort: Fort Gaishu. The Azen were swift to mobilize a forward element of their own to defend it, however, and the Dark Marches quickly turned into the staging ground for the first large battle of the war
