Description
Introducing the Staevik MK4A Wardroid.Heavily armored, this wardroid is the 2nd most common droid in the Staevik armed forces, next to their lighter Mk3F. Smaller droids were largely discontinued, as mass production, though offering an advantage in manpower, would cut back on resources that could be used to build ships, tanks or larger, much longer lasting wardroids.
The idea came about in 2756 that there is no reason to create a large army, when a small, heavily armed, heavily armored, and highly trained army would work just as fine. The result was the Staevik Union beginning to constantly upgrade older equipment, vehicles, and armaments.
by 2767 the Staevik had completely began to recreate their armies, no longer upgrading, but creating new droids, vehicles, and ships all-together, based off earlier designs. Most old vehicles were quickly recycled, as the Staevik industry was shifting focus towards the advancement of it's military technology.
The Mk4A wardroid was one of the results. Thick armor, and heavy firepower, this mech is death to any infantry foolhardy enough to take it on. It has different attachments available for it's arms, and an advanced combat AI system designed by the Staevik, outclassing the Terran version by leaps and bounds.
Usually accompanying infantry into battle, this mech provides a huge support role in taking on enemy combatants.
Just one of the many of the Staevik War machine.

It sure look scary facing that thing as regular infantryman, the only way defeating that wardroid is having a guy piloting a giant Β bipedal mech Β if Β only other nation already developing itΒ Β or Β just Β throw a EMP grenade at that thing Β and run away like a girl Β ,nice Β badass design by the way.

Facing that thing as a regular infantryman, I'd probably shit myself and unload an entire magazine in it, before attempting to run for my life and getting shot in half.
The Staevik make a lot of heavy weaponry. It's sort of their specialty. But the upside is their army is small in comparison to the other nations armies. But it gets the job done.
Thanks man. It's one of my older designs but I do love it

I would Β shit myself too Β lol,Just hope i can throw a EMP grenade at it and run away if i got a teammate with a Β Anti-tank missile to shoot Β it.

I'm not afraid of that, I'll run up and put a grenade in it's pants!

You mean it actually has pants??
Score!!
I thought that would go south for sure!

yes, the Union spends billions a year making pants for wardroids. Some have questioned the practicality of this, but i can assure you, there's a good use for this practice somewhere....
-we just don't know what it is yet

Cause I'd have no where to dump a grenade? Seems practical to me, they get a reason for the expense, jobs are created, and I got a place to dump a grenade...it's all win-win!

A war-droid, eh? This is not good.... We were hoping to conceal the Motherland's Type-a4s until we held the advantage... damn.

and these are just their medium droids. The Staevik Military tech in terms of robotics is matched by none other.
I fear the day these droids are used in combat.
and that day rapidly advances...

Of course. The day robots take over the battlefield from living soldiers is not one I wish to see. However, our Mark-A4 MACUs have one distinct advantage the bastard Staevik War-droids do not.

Humanity tried to cycle humans out of warfare completely. But then armies adapted, and just EMP'd a planet, disabling all of it's droids, then marching living troopers down so the planet couldn't emp back. So then the planets would adapt again, using living troopers again, etc etc. It's a constant cycle.
Depends what it is you think outclasses these droids.
Each faction specializes in it's own field.
Terra- Highly trained Human troopers and navy.
Xenon- Clones, huge navy and infantry, but minimal training
Staevik- Robotics and experimental weapons
So needless to say the Staevik are leading the game in robotics, but I'd like to hear any ideas you have

Well, what the Soviet MACUs have that the Staevik war-droids don't, is a pilot. The MACU, (Mechanized Armored Combat Unit) is pretty much a heavy combat walker. They've been in development for nearly three hundred years, and even now, the only things those outside of the NUSSR know of them are grainy, low-res surveillance images leaked by the Soviet themselves. I can send you the stats, if you like.
In terms of how they wage war, I'd say that the Soviets are most like the Terrans, placing great emphasis on highly trained ground, air and naval forces, but they also place high priority on swift attacks and overwhelming firepower. They aren't fans of protracted, entrenched warfare, although they'll fight that way if they have to.

ah. If it has a pilot, it's not really a droid, more like a harsuit, or mech.
and that technically is an advantage though, as nothin ever tops human intuition or experience in a combat field.
Note me the details if u like.

Toravich12 In reply to goeliath [2015-03-16 20:59:23 +0000 UTC]
Exactly. The Soviets have never used droids or robots on the battlefield for that very reason I'll note you the details now.

The higher power gun than a 50 cal.? I do too!
I don't think there's be any bit of a person left after they get hit with one of those rounds.

Ah, don't tell me, those wardroids aren't as educated as their parents... The new generation really should not skip classes *sigh*

actually the AI that controls these droids is a very advanced one. It just doesn't know when its not okay to hump a visitors leg, or that it's not allowed in the house after playing in the mud.
