Part 1 of a six-part series.
I've had this idea brewing about in my head for months now, but was far too busy with College to give it the attention it deserved. Consider it Friendship is Magic's official "induction" into my pantheon of favorite fandoms (much like WALL-E's induction a few years ago: [link] ).
Originally, I was going to start with Sonic meeting Rainbow Dash, but since I've been rather thoroughly beaten to the punch on that idea, I thought I'd instead start off with a pairing no one else seems to have thought of yet.

I can't speak for everyone, but for me personally, "Sonic" is one of my first and most precious fandoms; "Friendship is Magic" has quickly wormed its way into a similar spot in my heart, and thus I find the parallels between the two fun to explore.

The fact & Rainbow & Twilight have a SonSal (or Arthur/Francine or any other "opposites attract" concept) feel--same sex be damned--is another bonus.

"Same sex be damned"? Um, I'm not much on Rainbow/Twilight (or Rainbow/anyone; she just doesn't seem like the "relationship" kind of Pony to me X3) myself, but that seems a bit uncalled for.

No, no. You misunderstand. I like the concept of Rainbow/Twilight regardless of their being the same sex, which is why I said that. In fact, I am an avid supporter of the cause of the LGBT community, despite being heterosexual personally, because I can empathize & sympathize with those suffering for being who they are. Honestly, I see a comparison between SonSal, Arthur/Francine, & other similar canon pairs & Rainbow/Twilight, since the personalities of them are very compatible & similar, as you point out, my friend.
