What do you think is the main difference between liquid and non-liquid(?) watercolour? Why to use one and not the other?

ah mam pytanko jedne takie małe albowiem mam problem z dobraniem ecoliny do koloru skóry jednak w mandze jest bardziej "zółciejsza" niż ludzka
więc z tąd moje pytanko : jakich kolorów używasz do malowania skóry?
albo czy mieszasz kolory i czy tak to jakie?
i srsly podziwiam że tworzysz takie cuda zwykłą ecoliną O_O
myślałam że to markery są >.<

Oh, Oh! So you use ink and it doesn't like leak? Oh ... FAIL! I used concentrated watercolours and they leak ... I didn't know it the first time and I just used them straight away on a final peice and completely ruined my picture x_x
kikitue xx

Great tutorial! :]
I have seen so many water color tutorials before and they never address this issue:
When you're "layering" on color, do you wait for the first layer to dry, semi-dry, or just dive right in with the next layer (usually the "darker" tone)?
I, for one, can never find a happy medium. If I add the watercolor too soon, then all my colors run, and you don't get the nice gradation effect between colors that you're trying to get. And if I add the watercolor after it's dried some, it's usually too late and when I layer on the colors, it's really block-y and you can tell each shade of color that was added because there's no "blending.
Do you have any advice on this?
Thanks so much!
