Description Sorry! I had 3,500 pixels left full of stuff, but then found out that DA's maximum pixels allowed it 9,000x12,000. I had 15,500. A lot had to be sheared. But I don't think it will make much of a difference. Basically it was an optimistic "Go you" the rest of the way! Still... go you!

And my second tutorial is done!

This one took longer, probably because it is physically longer! Anyway, it is here to help you guys who want to make stamps on paint or paintbucket!

I hope it help!

Thanks to AvatarSpirit.net for the screenshot! I always forget to thank them. So thank you!

You can find the stamp made in this tutorial >>here <<

I hope you like it!

EDIT: I humbly stand corrected. I told you to save it under .JPEG file format... save it under .PNG. JPEG never hurt my files, nor have I noticed a deteriorating difference to my stamp after saving it as a JPEG, but others feel PNG is better, so use PNG! I used PNG now just out of habit.

EDIT #2: (9/13/13) Closing the comments because this is very old and probably not applicable to whatever version of paintbucket exists today. Also, the comments were starting to get snarky and rude and I don't have time for that.

I'm glad it's helpful! I'm sorry to say, I doubt Paint can do animated stamps for you. I've never tried, or looked, but maybe! You can try, however Paint is a very prehistoric program, so I doubt it does.

You certainly did! But I have a question: is it at all possible to make an animated stamp on paint?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Golden-Flute In reply to FeelingVeryLucky [2009-08-22 03:31:06 +0000 UTC]

I don't think it is possible. Paint is a very stoneage-esque program, so I don't think it has the ability to make animated stamps.

Man, that sucks.
Ah, well. I can still make cute, unanimated stamps on MS Paint.

Don't know if anyone talked about it, but avoid saving JPEG with Paint, because it compresses it so much and messes up the colors, creating a very ugly look with a lot of color loss.

Use PNG, instead.

Awesome tutorial. I'm tryin it now. Oh and, on step 3, depending on the stamp template you used, you can also use the bucket tool instead of erasing it. ^-^

For some reason all the colours in my colour box turn out only black, grey or white when i try to use them to draw or anything. I can't change it using the edit coulours thing either. do you know what's wrong?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Golden-Flute In reply to frostandfrogs [2009-01-03 06:24:04 +0000 UTC]

So I took a look at it and I think I know what's wrong. I'm not sure if it can be corrected, but let's give it a try...

-First, go on to your Paintbucket program
-Click "Image"
-Click "Attributes" on the pull-down menu
-Another box should come up and at the bottom, it will have the color choices
-Yours might say "Black and White", so choose "colors"

That should solve it. When I tried to convert my program to black and white, however, the program alerted me that converting it couldn't be undone. Whether that was just for that one specific file or for the entire program, I'm not sure, and I didn't really want to test it. I don't know if yours can be fixed, if that's the cause of the problem, but it doesn't hurt to try, right?

Let me know if that helps!

frostandfrogs In reply to Golden-Flute [2009-01-03 23:18:24 +0000 UTC]

It was already set to colours, but i clicked bl/w to make sure and it came up with "can't be undone." Then i went back on Attributes and it was still on colours, but now at least it seems to be working
I don't know if that made sense or not, but i think you helped.
Thank you
