Description
'She bent in to the girl, knowing that she would not hear the words she was about to say. But she caught a glimpse of a fleck of gold within her dress. Reaching it with her other hand, she pulled it out. It was a tiny golden heart, suspended on a chain. With a hint of curiosity, she flicked it open. She took a glance at the picture inside, a grin coming to her face. She closed it again, and stuffed it back into Breannin's dress. She bent in further, her lips beside the unconscious gynoid's ear. With a whisper, she told her, "You know.... I think he'll miss you....". Then, without so much as a giggle, she turned around and, using the arm buried in her stomach, hurled the girl into the sky, her hand ripping out of her stomach as she did.

Nobody else would be able to hear it except her. It was high-pitched, a soft beeping slowly growing faster. Breannin recognised the sound, and it sent a chill down her spine. But then a new revelation came to her: the sound came from within her...'
