Description "Draw a pony whooping it up in town."

The prompt was meant to get us drawing backgrounds -- I'm guilty of shirking my duty there. Guilty also of another quick pen sketch.
But you know what? I think pen sketches have something to teach us. We can learn careful intention of stroke from pen sketches, and confidence of line.

And I'm proud of the fact that this came out not too shabbily, despite only spending a very short time on it. Is the flugelhorn accurate? Nah, not really; the pieces all exist, but not in proper relation to each other. Is Pinkie perfect? Heck no! Her hair is HARD.
But it's recognizable, it's fun, and it doesn't look sketchy. I made sure with each line that I had a plan for where I was going with it, and that I put the pen down, made a single stroke, and picked the pen back up. None of this "lots of little lines" stuff that makes art look messy.

I own a signature by Andy Price, next to which he made a little sketch of Chrysalis. He didn't use pencil to sketch first; he didn't have two chances at it (it was a one-of-a-kind charity auction item). He just set down his Sharpie and drew.
That takes confidence of hand and confidence of mind -- two things I consider very important to linework. I look back at that sketch a lot, and tonight I look at it with a sense of hope -- I can get there if I keep practicing.

Side note -- I missed yesterday! May great shame fall upon my descendants.
In all seriousness, I really wanted to make it all the way through without fail. But protests in my city denouncing police brutality against the black community demanded my attention.
I decided I needed to be witness to whatever these protests, and hear out my fellow Americans to know what I need to do to help stop the continued victimization of black lives.
Black Lives Matter, folks. And if I need to miss a day of pony drawing progress in order to bear witness to that, I think that's an easy decision to make.

Take care, all. Be back tomorrow
