Description
After a surprisingly long time having gone without any drawing, I made that upper left study using ~frozenpyro71 's amazing Divekick Rainbow Dash as sort of a pose reference, putting a bit of my own flair into it. I'm happy with bits of it (I feel like the wings came out quite well), but overall it felt a bit static and without motion. It probably would have helped if I added a tail, but I couldn't figure out how to make it look right, so I didn't bother.
The bottom left drawing was just a quick drawing I did based off of a prompt of 'Scootaloo playing a card game'. As usual, I forgot the wing, so that would explain why it looks a bit out of place. I'm happy with it in general, but I definitely have to get better at line weight management with my brushes; just looks a bit weird in places.
Speaking of terrible line weight, let's look at Pinkie Pie! That was done for a test of a fellow pony artist's digital coloring style, which I posted here . I DEFINITELY have to start actively paying more attention to line weight, especially with line drawings like this one.
