"That's it," I told myself, "you are GOING to draw TODAY." So I did. I fought through the first, rather bad drawing of Scootaloo (upper left), then the generic, even worse pony in the upper right, then the ever so slightly better pony in the middle. Then, after doing a bit of reading, I decided to play with snout shapes, which you can see a number of quick sketches of on the right. Underneath that was another side view pony to try anatomy out again. This one I meticulously paid very close attention to, molding my kneaded eraser painstakingly into the shape of the outline to block out the anatomy underneath. I wanted to know if the outline FELT good. And it started to. So I started another anatomical sketch, which went nowhere. Frustrated, but slightly pleased with the second to last outline, I stopped for the time being.
