Where did you get the bit of info about having to draw something 150 times to master it? I'd love to read an article/lecture about this and pass it along to some aspiring artists.

don't use layers!
I USED 41 LAYERS IN THIS TUTORIAL!
contradicting oneself is not the best way to make a tutorial..
and sketching is mandatory.. if one would start off with drawing random shapes, and then define them.. it is only good if you don't know what to draw, if one has a specific picture.. this will not work...
sketching is already the same as making a stick figure, rounding it out, but no definite lines..
if one wouldn't sketch, you would draw the finite picture at once.. what you did was even sketching... drawing simple round shapes, being messy is sketching.. XD

No, it's just part of me thought you were joking with all the stuff about layers, then I saw all the comments saying it was amazing and I got all confuzzled. :/
Also, the only real criticism I have is that the red text is really hard to read with that background. Other then that I got noting else

Thank you!
I hate having a bunch of layers but drawing on only 2 or 3 always scared me.

i'd say just ignore the fancy stuff
but I take slight offence at your portrayal of sketching, I wouldn't have gotten half as good as I am now without it, it isn't good for speed painting
I think this tutorial is more of a speed painting tut. than a simplification one
I hope I didn't offend you, but I feel strongly about this and couldn't let the matter die

ah well... I meet artists that .... *looks at your icon* OH MY GOD IT'S SO EPIC!!!
- This is a tutorial about my technic cause I have been asked to put it up by a few people
- Speed painting is all I do. No matter what the result or the reason for it. It's always... speedy.
Sorry if I offended you

I'm slow as molasses but I always get what I come for, I just don't want you to send the message that its the best way to draw, I'm happy that you've explained, I understand a lot better
also, thanks for the compliment
