Description
When I recently posted the image Polar Navigation , a friend commented that she bet I could "do the same with real material".She may not have realized it at the time, but she set me a challenge that I could not resist.
This is a work in progress, an interpretational assemblage based on that image.Β It is far from being done, but I like where this part of it stands at the moment, so I thought I would take a break and take some photos.
So here you go, Hanan. This one is for you.

I strongly see Marcel Duchamp's spirit in this piece. You seem to have the original artisitc energy of Paris in the Twenties living inside of you rating your portfolio. Very interesting work!

I'm glad you were inspired by Hanan's comment, for I also thought the other deviation was a "physical" assemblage at first.Β I love the positioning of the netting in this piece. The movement it adds makes me think of some far off nebula and yet of coarse there's the naval aspect of it.Β So many correlations shifting between the two really just make me grin.Β I feel that assemblage pieces should tell stories and oh the stories this piece could tell.
