Description I was looking over some old post last night and I came across a conversation with Gregole regarding dragons.

This is the result of my recent thoughts about that old conversation.

What conversation was this? I know there was a discussion about dragons, yes, but this doesn't really ring a bell.

Though it's not a bad design by any means. I like the lizardiness of it. The monitor-toes, fin-like wings and vampire-fangs all give it that serpentine quality that the oldest of oldschool dragons had. It's not majestic by any means, but it looks like a solid, feasible animal. And seeing as how dragons were the personification of "reptiles are abhorrent", I tend to think they should be as reptilian as possible, and it shows here.

The conversation was started regarding my drawing of the DnD 4e green dragon: [link]

I was just thinking about your thoughts on old-school dragons from that conversation and this what I came up with. One thing I wanted to do was convey that this dragon is multi-legged as well (8+ legs), but it didn't come out very well. You can see them if you look. I thought a couple extra legs might be freaky back in the dark ages.

I think I see it now. Unorthodox, but it's thinking outside the box in a way that feels right, somehow.

Looking at that discussion again, I'd like to apologize for my irritability. >> I was always in such a bad mood back in Alabama, for some reason...

I just had a vision of a centipede-like dragon and I thought it would be really creepy. Centipedes and millipedes are some of the few animals that creep me out.

No sweat, you have passion and that is a good thing. I'm sorry that was a tough time and I hope things are looking up for you!

I think I kind beat you to that point. Albeit, that monster was snake/centipede hybrid design.

I missed that, but it isn't exactly an original idea. I've seen the general concept in various animes and DnD.
