"The Secret Six"

After the fall of the original CHECKMATE and the rise of the new one under Bruce Wayne's watch, the world of metahumans was exposed to a new concept: the superhero team. In an effort to countermeasure these teams, super-villains began to unite and form their own alliances, most of which did not last long due to too many egos clashing at once.

However, a mysterious, unseen individual going by the codename 'Mockingbird' formed his own team of former villains as a means to have his own black-opts style team. While villains in nature, these individuals are neither heroes nor villains, playing both sides of the coin, and working whatever job needs taking care of.

Each member of the six comes from a different walk of life, brought into the fold via their different talents:

Catman : Team leader - Formed D list Green Arrow villain who willing left himself in the middle of the African desert, training his mind, body, and soul to survive. Today, he is a trained master in survival, with an unbreakable willpower.

Ragdoll : Stealth - What was once a joke Batman villain, Ragdoll has the ability to contort and bend his entire body into any position he would need, almost as if he doesn't have a single bone in his body. This also allows him advanced speed and agility.

Deadshot : Marksmen - Former member of the Suicide Squad, Deadshot can take absolutely any object and turn it into a weapon, turning it into a projectile that never seems to miss its target.

Scandal Savage : Durability - The daughter of the immortal former caveman Vandal Savage, Scandal retains her father's immortality, healing from most attacks almost instantly. Scandal is also an advanced train fighter, able to note the weakpoints in most opponents.

Bane : Strength - The man who had 'broken the Bat', Bane turned his life around after being beaten by Batman, now looking to use his strength for good (or at least his view of good). While still with a massive ego (and seeing himself as the rightful leader of the team), he no longer depends on the illegal Venom for his strength.

Isis : Weath Control/Magic - The latest inductee into the Marvel Family, shortly before the battle of Magic between the Spectre and the Wizard Shazam, Isis was casted away by the former Black Adam after she took a stance against him when it came to battling Captain Marvel (more on them later). After Shazam's death, Isis still retained a percentage of her power, and was the first draftpick by "Mockingbird" (it is even rumored that she is the only person who knows who Mockingbird is).

Together, these Six are a metahuman team that operates outside the law, and as far as CHECKMATE is aware, this team doesn't even exist.

For that reason, they are The Secret Six.
