Years ago, young heroes such as Nightwing, Cyborg, and Wonder Girl united to for a team called the Junior Justice League.That was then. This is now.
After Bruce Wayne, the new head of CHECKMATE, forms his own special opts team of young heroes, working directly under the Justice League as the team called Young Justice (more on them later). Former Robin, Tim Drake, grows further and further from his former mentor, knowing that young heroes need to be allowed to branch out, and find their own identities, as opposed to simply being 'sidekicks'.
Taking up the identity of Red Robin, Tim forms his own team of young heroes consisting of former protieges who also feel that they need to be their own heroes.
Red Robin's team consists of Kid Flash, Wonder Girl, Aqualad, and Speedy.
Together, they are the Teen Titans. And Bruce Wayne couldn't hate the idea any more.

I personally love the Teen Titans, but they've had a rough past few years with the New 52 and TTG. However, their rebirth series does look awesome so far. This lineup does remind me a bit too much of the New 52 line-up (Kid Flash, Wonder Girl, and Red Robin), but I still like it. I'm always willing to give a new incarnation of one of my favorite teams a chance.

Nice lineup, though a bit limited. There really are a lot of young metahumans that could benefit from being on a team like that, it could prevent them from turning later into villains. I think it's one of the points where DC are actually lacking compared to Marvel, because they don't have a "superhero academy".

Funny that you say that: there is ANOTHER design I made called "Young Justice". Its pretty much Bruce Wayne's idea of what the Teen Titans SHOULD be.

Yeah, Speedy was always one of my favorites. I tried to keep as much of her original costume in tact as possible.
