Damn, there isnt much in this work that isnt amazing, but maybe if there was anything off, its probs just the shape of the crystals; it looks great in color, but the shape on some of them is off in that as crystals grow, they usualy stay about the same width as they become taller, some do, though, get just a tiny bit wider. Oh, uhm, thats basically the only thing that stands out (:

Looks like a fun place to go treasure hunting.
If I can make a small suggestion, it would be to introduce a little of the green and cyan colors found in the crystals to other parts of the image. Β This would bring more visual unity to the composition. You've already done that with the orange , the yellow, and the blue-violet - they occur in parts of the foreground and background, though in a more muted version than the colors in the crystals, which is the way it should be. Β

well, no, i am pretty much through with it. 10 years and 1000s of hours kind of wore me out with it. but i am hoping to pass it on to Aja to continue it. the joy from your painting was that i already had a vague picture of OUR canyonΒ Β in my mind. in my unwritten story,Β those crystals couldΒ only be found in the good kingdom and assured their economic dominance due to the the crystal's essential nature. i had just never seen it so clearly as you manifested it.

i was actually amazed to see this. i drew a large map of Β good, bad, and neutral kingdoms sharing a large isthmus. only the good kingdom was wealthy, and they derived it from a precious mineral available only to them, found in the upper reaches of enclosed canyons in their territory. i colored those areas tangerine. Β X Β Β i immediately was stunned to see your drawing ~ this is exactly what i had envisioned years ago, though not exactly your crystals.

how sweet, sweety. that map is 6 sheets of paper taped together. it has 1000s of hours of joyful drawing in it, and it is not much more than 1/2 finished. every little mark on Β it has meaning, a specific building or "thing" with a purpose for the story, each in its location purposely. i ran out of gas with it. then, life sent me a different direction. after some years inactive with it, i picked the pencils up, but had lost the magic. it was then labored, a task, and like i holler all the time, not art anymore, as my heart was not in it, and the results reflected that. so i stopped ruining it and left it alone. now, Aja has those pencils, and if i ever see her again. we agreed she would take over in trying to finish it. it will become a multi generational effort. the story depicted in it may live and grow, or may die. i dont care either way.

Wow this is amazing but the diamonds/crytals seem to be a little out of place.
the way the water trails through the rocks is a bit Unrealistic.Β
From perspective I think that at the rocks we see right in the middle, the ones that have water trailing down them, shouldn't even be seen with water at all.
And I think this would have seemed better if there was a night sky, then the glowing effect wouldn't be for nothing.
Now that I have said all of that there is one thing left to say: I AM SO SORRY!!!! ><;;;

I would've made the scene at nighttime, but I had no idea that the center image would have glowing crystals xDDD I was planning to put some tree in the middle or something, with it's roots climbing out of the water rock creases, but scratched it because there wasn't much space.
