Description I already brought this up in a previous meme, but I felt the need to go in a bit more details. Now Aaron Webber is pretty much a mixed bag in the fandom. Some think he's a hillaious genius who's making the Sonic Twitter a blast, others think he's an overrated idiot who's abusing the Sonic Twitter. Now not finding his jokes funny is acceptable since memes aren't going to appel to everyone. What's not acceptable though is people claiming that he's trying to mock the fans, specifically the adventure fans whenever he makes a joke about SA, well if you think that then you're obviously the bigger idiot. Aarons not trying to offend anyone PERIOD! He's just having fun with his job and can you blame him? how many companies will allow their social media admins to refernce infamous internet creations (Sonichu) or publicly insult other companies games (Mighty No.9). Now wanting him to take his job seriously is one thing, but actually claiming what he's doing is considered bullying? that just makes the Sonic fandom look even more pathetic than it already does. "Oh but the haters won't mind since Aaron's already damanging the series's reputation right?" wrong again, There are lots of people out there who don't like the games, yet they actually find the Sonic twitter funny and the best thing to come out in the series in years, Like I'm a user on a website called Kiwi Farms and most of the users there hate the Sonic games, yet they also admit that they really enjoy the content from the Sonic twitter. Now you could argue that this isn't the kind postive recognition you excatly want the Sonic series to have if you want people to take it seriously, but take this into consideration, in a time where pretty much everyone hates Sonic now, I think we should be greatful for any kind of postive recognition we can get, plus i doubt the majority of the world cares about Sonic to the same extent we do, so they probably wouldn't care if Aaron Webber did take his job super seriously and made the Sonic Twitter just a regular twitter account that only posted when real news happens. Again you don't have to agree with the people about the Twitter, you can still dislike it if you want. But just know that these people aren't going to take your side when you claim that Big's Big Fishing Adventure 3 deeply offended you, they're probably just going to laugh at your face and call you an idiot. If you want to know a good example of someone who doesn't like the Sonic Twitter but doesn't act like a baby about it, take a look at this supernicolas1234.deviantart.co… , All this guy did was say that he doesn't understand why people like the Sonic Twitter and nothing more, if more people can express their dislike of Aaron and the Sonic Twitter like this then that'd be great. Overrall you have the right to whatever opinion you want of the Aaron Webber's usage of the Sonic Twitter, If you like what he's doing then good for you, you got a fun twitter account to follow. If you don't like what he's doing then more power to you, you don't have to follow the twitter if you don't want to. Just don't be a dummy and claim that this meme Aaron posted was a huge insult to Sonic Fans, cause the only thing that's going to happen is that the hatedom's going to receive more ammo to use against us.

While I don't even care enough about Webber to get offended is what he does still just wrong.

Why you ask oh that's simple for you see:

1)He as host of the official Sonic twitter is suppose to be the out side representation of sonic as a whole yet he only focuses on the memes and ignores from what I have seen everything else like fan comics, Fan Games, people that take the series lore serious and make theories about them and so showing there knowledge and dedication to the series, fans of Serious sonic plots, Fans of other media other then Games and Boom (like Archie/flettway comics, Tv shows beside Boom (AoStH, SatAm, Underground, X and the OVA),...

2)He things that all sonic fans are basically the same with is obviously enough as far away from the truth as one can be

3)He makes only fun of the Adventure era while barley if ever has the balls to mock the Classic and modern era (even Lego dimensions had the corsage to do this)

4) he made fun in a mean spirited way of the less liked games (And yes 06 and shadow have a bad rep. so what you don't see the Star wars twitter account making fun of the phantom menace or something like this)

5) His one sided favoritism of one part of sonic over every other one makes many fans feel unwanted with is no matter if intensional or not is something that a official twitter account should always try to avoid

So this is my stand point to the twitter account.

No one is getting offensive by Webber's memes it's just people are tired of seeing lolz Big the cat and & Knuckles jokes now that we're about to get Sonic Mania and Project Sonic 2017 you think he would slowly give us something but no back to appealing to people who'll probably never buy the games.

Sorry dude but you're wrong, I've seen countless people on different sonic forums claim that Sega is mocking them by making jokes about Adventure assuming it's a sign they purposly won't make SA3 just to see them cry.

So essentially he's wrong because of your, specific personal experiences? That isn't a good argument as it can be easily countered by those with opposite experiences.

As was said by TSS , we can take a few jokes here and there but constant jokes with no new games? That's just terrible! The only thing we're really annoyed about is the lack of new content that appeals to us. The jokes at our expense are the cherry on top.

Yeah well considering I've seen hundreds of people online including your precious TSS act like children over the Sonic Twitter, I feel pretty confident that he's wrong and I'm right. Like I said simply disliking the twitter is fine, but to claim it's damaging the franchise? that's just fucking pathetic

Yeah well I've seen hundreds of people online including my TSS NOT act like children over the twitter so I don't know what your point is. Don't care. It may not be damaging the franchise but it's unlikely to be doing much good considering the only reason people even follow is for the "funny memes"...in other words, they're following for the memes and they don't care about buying the games.

Also, it's funny how we get nagged at to be more positive yet you who criticize us are just as if not more negative.

I know this guy isn't officially part of TSS, but since he and the members there act very similar he might as well be part of their group

Yeah because calling people who defend the Sonic Twitter HOs is certainly not acting like a child at all!

And a child specifically would call someone a ho then? I don't think I've ever seen a child do that personally. Just because it offends you doesn't mean it's untrue.

And you miss the point of the meme. He was calling someone out as he was praising the twitter as "smart" when it really wasn't. Twitter followers doesn't necessarily equal more game sales...especially if most people who follow do so because of the memes rather than actually wanting to buy the games. This is obvious but Noah still felt like kissing webber's backside to appease webber's followers (of which there are many of them). Psyco calls him out on his faulty logic, accusing him of being a "ho" (because the only reason he made the article was to praise webber) and then, completely ignoring his arguments and focusing only on the insults, you then call him childish.

The only thing I would do to a bad joke, bad meme and/or bad fanart is to just ignore it, move on and find something more entertaining to do.

Why do people take the memes seriously in the first place. They're memes are they not by nature suppose to be for entertainment purposes. Why is it that some Sonic fans completely forget to have fun with the serious every once in a while.
