Description This is just a goofy idea that came to me about a week ago. Most of my ideas come from silly wordplay. I dig the classic version of Archie from the 40's far more than his modern interpretations, so I went with that old school look for him. And the idea of big ol' dangerous Juggernaut wearing a vintage Jughead hat just seemed to funny to pass up. If I had my druthers, I could make this the coolest Archie Comics/Marvel Comics team-up since Archie Meets The Punisher back in the 1990's (I own a copy). But at any rate, this was fun to make.

How about Archie's gals Betty and Veronica, with Betty Boop and Veronica Lake?

I can't help but wonder what Juggernaut did to poor Jughead to get his hat like that.

The funny thing is, this really isn't much of a stretch. Archie has the weirdest/awesome spinoffs and crossovers i've seen in a while. The material is endless.

On a side note, in the shrunken down thumbnail, Archie looks like he's got Don Knotts lips, and I would have totally approved!

I'm glad you said that ... I was thinking Archie looked more like Don Knotts which made it even funnier.

The thought of two impossibly hot girls trying to get into Don Knott's pants is so hilarious, it could only be topped by Don Knotts having an extramarital affair with a disturbingly hot fish. God, I love Mr. Limpet!

Don Knotts was a master of his craft, subtle in ways that a lot of performers and comedians have forgotten with the use of more bad language and tasteless humor. Now, I will be one of the many who does like some of the mindless, raunchy humor, but there are times, you go back to the classics ... the Three Stooges, Don Knotts, Abbott and Costello, and the fun of the Our Gang ... and you remember that it can be done.

Eeeeeeeeee! I absolutely love your take on Archie on this one!

Seriously, I keep seeing the artwork for the latest Archie comics, and... and they just look so horrible! Like, like a horrible attempt to ape the old style while plastering it on an entirely different one, and the hodgepodge result is just unwatchable. I say, if you're gonna abandon the original style, then do it with style and just go with something completely different, but nicely done. I'd pick up an Archie comic with this style sooooo fast!

I'm happy that they're screwing with it. A sixty year old comic needs that every now and then to keep it readable. I just wish they didn't do it in such a lame, ugly way.

Well, Dick Sprang Batman comics from the fifties are really friggin sweet! But would you have that style stay on forever at the cost of never getting to see Neal Adams, Frank Miller, Jim Lee and Bruce Timm?
