I thought I recognized Dark Crystal... Which is odd, because I haven't seen that movie all the way through in my life, and the last time I even caught a glimpse of it was about eight years ago.

That's a nice compliment! It means I was able to capture something well enough that you recognized it without being too familiar with it! Thank you!

... I cant describe how much i am in love with this picture. I Would Marry it if i could but sadly is under 18 years old and isn't legal. Of course I jest. But that doesn't mean that i love this picture any less. Favoriting it isnt enouh to describe the joy it brings me.

I'm very glad you like it! And if it weren't for the restrictive laws prohibiting cartoon marriage, I'd gladly betroth my drawing to you!

Oh, I will love the idea on this forever but the bit that slays me, artistically, is the just-right, perfectly expressive inking of Jen's outraged cutie little face. Kudos!

Two underrated Muppet classics I saw in theaters when I was a kid. David Bowie looked like an anime character come to real life, a lot like his early Ziggy Stardust and Aladdin Sane years. As for Aughra, I'm not sure if the phrase "coyote ugly" does the trick. Love the one line from her: "It's the end of the world--or the beginning!"

This reminds me of why I love cartoons so much, so expressive with just the smallest details and at the same time comical. It looks just like them but in a fantastic new way, I love the colors and it's humor. I especially love the expressions, Hoggle's included.

i love the artwork, except for the fact that kira and jen look a little too cartoonish, but the picture itself makes me lmfao

I appreciate it, though it is a cartoon and thereby unavoidably cartoonish by nature.

To be fair, whilst the drawing may be a toony rendition of the actual Henson Creature Shop Creatures, the actual puppets--though cartoon-like--are not cartoons. In fact, making whole new, believable worlds is what Jim was trying to do with both films.

I think you're misunderstanding what I said. I meant my drawing is a cartoon, not the worlds/movies that Jim Henson created. I'm well aware of what Jim was attempting to do with his films.

Yep. Even with sites like MC & Toughpigs out there--which I was former member of--it seems liking Muppets, even with the 2011 film, is rare now. Funny enough, FR airs on the same channel as the Internet-popular MLP: FiM show & though both speak volumes on friendship, complete with quality writing, you ask someone on the Internet if they like the new MLP show & you get an instant answer due to its popularity, but if you try the same with FR, only hardcore Muppet fan would answer back! It's as if the Muppets & puppetry in general have gotten the shaft for things like Spongebob & Adventure Time (or whatever else is hot right now) & cheap CGI. Even Sesame Street's gotten the bug by alternating the actual puppet Muppets with CGI or even just traditionally animated versions of themselves (ex: the "All of Elmo's Friends" channel on TV in Elmo's World during the 2004 special, the Bert & Ernie's Global Adventures [claymation] segments of recent past, or the on-off Abby's Flying Fairy School bit).

Ha! Great and funny Henson movie references, Jay- I loved both Labyrinth and The Dark Crystal. Oh, poor Jen- he'll probably have to down a drink or 30 before makin' out with Aughra (if he's that desperate)
