So far your tutorial is awesome! Except when I select the load bar, it says I can't put action script in that selected item. What am I doing wrong?

Hmm, well.. sometimes it says that when you select somethign that isnt a symbol. Thats the only thing I can think of that could be wrong.. :C

this is the best tutorial of all deviantart so far - very complete.
i have some (maybe more than some >.<
1.when loading- the rectanlgle doesnt "fill" like yours- just stays.
2.when loaded- the animation stays there (2nd frame)
3.about the "next" button- it takes ages (10seconds) to go to the next frame. that doesnt happen with the "back" button. :/
i hope im not bothering with all these questions . : S

No no, its not because you're stupid! I assure you! I've gone through BILLIONs of tutorials I didnt understand X33;;
Your first problem.. I'd need to see what your actionscript and your screen look like....
For your second problem.. thats because the actionscript is telling it to stop there... this loadbar works with the button. if you want it to play by itself, you need to change the actionscript in the loadbar...
Where it says gotoAndStop change it to gotoAndPlay That should make it play right away.. C:
As for your third problem.. thats just weird and I really dont know how to help ya there D:

I don't get it. It was super confusing... and for the button... select button? o__O select what button. and for the load bar, I followed the tutorial 3 times in a row and still can't get it to work.

This is great, and it even helped me with my windows version of flash that is apparently rather old (MX 6.0, when people talk about 8 and 9 and such).
You've taught me how to:
Use the Library
Use the Onion Skin (and what that is in the first place)
Use Actionscript (well, all that I need 
That means that you are NOT a bad teacher, cuz I'm a horrible learner. congrats!
