I made a chance mid-stream on where this project was going. It originally was intended to be a Gears of War "Longshot", but that project fell through so I moved forward with a Halo sniper rifle theme instead

I've always wondered why sci-fi movies don't just use modded nerf guns they can look really realistic with some effort (case in point).

Looks more like a Hyperion sniper rifle from Borderlands 2 than anything from Halo.

I like this much more than a simple black paint job; the shell really doesn't have a lot of "junk" features to going two-tone helps it pop. It still busts my chops that Nerf bothered coming up with a decent sniper rifle and released it without any type of scope at all!

Thank you very much! I agree that there should be a scope. For the price you don't get anywhere near as much value as say the Longshot. I do like the bipod, but I'd give that up real quick for some kind of updated sniper scope. Maybe they'll add it as a combo around christmas (I can dream, dangit! hehe)

That could work nicely! Maybe leave the front barrel off and just add a long extension of PVC or conduit for the widow barrel? Let me know how that goes!

Thank you very much. I've shifted away from Nerf a bit due to commission requests, but I still try to make sure I do them whenever the opportunity arises

This actually the Centurion with a customized front barrel. I've seen quite a few with the shield completely removed, but it looked more appropriate with part of it still attached. The scope is from a lasertag gun as I recall, but I can't dredge up which model unfortunately.
